Recipient update in the house, you guys!!! ???????????? 2017 Rockin’ Recipient Dalton Cron’s sweet dad sent us an update on how Dalton is doing at ClemsonLIFE!! Here’s what he wrote:
“Dalton is getting ready to start his 2nd semester and he’s fully transitioned into college life!! He LOVES his independence and campus life. He’s been working hard on his life skills and independent living skills, making huge gains in things like cooking his meals, doing his part keeping their apartment clean, doing his own laundry etc. He is ‘the master’ at navigating campus like an upper-classman and when we ask how he gets around from apartment to class he tells us ‘It’s easy, I walk! I own that campus!’ Not to say everything has been easy for him, he’s had his struggles. Math skills have never been his strong suit and are still a constant battle for him, and time and money management are both areas he struggles with.
“Next semester he will continue to work on all of those life and independent living skills and he also will begin his job rotation through several different job settings. For fun, he chose Salsa Dancing as his elective this semester (which he is VERY excited about!!).
“It has been an incredible journey watching Dalton grow as he learns so many new things. These are things that we didn’t even know he was capable of and would have never been able to do without ClemsonLIFE. There comes a time in every kids life when they stop learning from Mom and Dad. ClemsonLIFE appeared at the exact time that Dalton needed it. They are able to teach him things and he is able and willing to learn from them that we could never teach him.”
You rock, Dalton!!! We are so proud of all you’re learning and accomplishing!!! Keep it up – and keep us posted ????❤????
